Because we always like to know who we are doing business with, we thought you might like to know a little bit about us....
Small Business Lending was started in 1987, by a gentleman named Wayne Evans, with the idea of helping small businesses take advantage of the various government guaranteed financing programs. Since then we have expanded to also include Conventional Financing (non-government guaranteed) but have always kept our commitment to helping small businesses obtain the financing that they need..
While many would consider us to be "SBA Experts", we also specialize in conventional financing. Many of the same banks that offer SBA loans have competitive conventional loans as well. Because we have partnered with several of the nation's top lenders we are able to get the type of financing that is custom tailored to your businesses needs.

In
addition to the financing services that we offer to
small business owners, Small Business Lending is a marketing and
documentation consultant for banks. We help new SBA departments get started with
their small business marketing efforts. In addition to this, we are contracted by various lenders to package the
documentation required for the various SBA loans. Wayne Evans has assisted many local banks
with the
development of their SBA departments and has trained some of the industry's top
loan specialists.
We
typically have a marketing/consulting contract set up with the lender and receive
our compensation by the bank only if the applicants’ loan actually
funds. Our fee cannot be passed onto the loan
applicant. SBA regulations prohibit borrowers from being charged points or fees by the
bank/ lender/ broker/ etc. SBA regulations allow the borrower to be charged reasonable
processing fees and suggests limitations on packaging fees.

Wayne Evans is also the founder and President of the Bay Area Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders. (BAAGGL), a non-profit organization whose purpose is to keep the Government Guaranteed Lending community updated on all the latest information from the SBA. Ask any bank in Northern California, that has an SBA program, if they know Wayne Evans or Small Business Lending. We live by our reputation and we stand by it.
